Blue Stone was born out of an ongoing collaboration between its founding directors, with over 60 years IT experience in one form or another between them. We have practical experience in a wide variety of sectors: from manufacturing, distribution, rental, construction and service industry companies through systems houses, hardware and software suppliers to IT and business consultancy organisations. Our combined skill base, supported by a highly integrated team of like-minded professionals, represents a powerful organisation, able to offer high quality services covering the many facets of business and information technology consultancy demanded by modern business. The resumés of our directors, and how to contact them, are set out below.

Steve Bellfield

Steve Bellfield

As well as being a key leader in the consultancy team Steve is responsible for the sales & marketing activity of the company and should be your first point of contact if you are considering using Blue Stone’s services. He specialises in bringing clarity to complicated situations, recognising that handling the people issues in any large project is at least as important as tackling the technology challenges.

His IT career began with implementing one of the first ERP systems of its day OMAC-29 at GEC-Avery, and progressed though demanding IT roles with Johnson Matthey, Babcock Transformers and McDonnell Douglas Information Systems. His deep understanding therefore comes from having been a buyer, seller, user, business analyst, IT manager and business consultant, and from his detailed experience of ERP system implementations in manufacturing, distribution, service, construction and specialist rental/hire sectors.

Steve is an invaluable resource to help plan any IT or business strategy, acquisition, commercial or contractual negotiation or implementation project. Or, if you have a ‘problem’ project, Steve’s troubleshooting skills and experience have been brought to bear in in dealing with often complex commercial disputes and generally getting projects back on track.
